Football Recap: Stony Point Starts off Right with Win over East View

Stony Point had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 42-20 margin over the East View Patriots. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Marcus Milligan had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 166 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. Trystin Rimes was another key player, picking up 136 receiving yards and one score.

Looking ahead, Stony Point will square off against Johnson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East View, they will face off against Burnet at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
