Football Recap: Stony Point Tigers vs. East View Patriots
Stony Point had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the East View Patriots as they made off with a 42-20 win. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.
Marcus Milligan was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 166 yards and four TDs while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. Another player making a difference was Trystin Rimes, who picked up 136 receiving yards and one score.
Despite the loss, East View still got an impressive performance from Cormyc Guerrero, who rushed for 97 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 171 yards and a pair of TDs.
Stony Point didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-14 victory against Johnson on the 4th. As for East View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 42-28 win against Burnet on the 5th.
