Baseball Recap: Oviedo Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Oviedo can now relate to. They came up short against the Pace Patriots on Thursday, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 on Wednesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Oviedo and nudges their season record down to 12-17. As for Pace, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-4.

Oviedo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pace, they will host Tocoi Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Toros' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
