Softball Recap: Evangel Christian's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Evangel Christian suffered their biggest defeat since April 3rd on Tuesday. They lost 10-1 to the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights. The Lightning were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 12-2.

Evangel Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilli Whitfield, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Whitfield has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Evangel Christian's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-10. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Looking ahead, Evangel Christian will challenge Southern Christian at 12:00 p.m. on May 2. Macon-East Montgomery Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
