Last Friday, Clarence strolled past Williamsville East with points to spare, taking the game 43-26. Given Clarence's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Williamsville East is ranked 289th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, West Seneca West didn't have too much trouble with Sweet Home on the road on Friday as they won 27-12.
Bernard Freeman was a one-man wrecking crew for West Seneca West as he rushed for 245 yards and a touchdown while picking up 13.6 yards per carry. Freeman was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
Another reason for the win was West Seneca West's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Sweet Home's QB won't forget Aiden Wojtusiak anytime soon given Wojtusiak sacked him five times.
Clarence's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for West Seneca West, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
