Baseball Game Preview: North Rowan Cavaliers vs. Salisbury Hornets

North Rowan is 2-8 against Salisbury since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Cavaliers will challenge the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

North Rowan fell victim to East Davidson and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 10-0. The Cavaliers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, Salisbury lost 13-2 to East Davidson on Tuesday. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

North Rowan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Salisbury, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

North Rowan suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Salisbury in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
