Basketball Recap: Northwood-Kensett Find Success

Northwood-Kensett won the last time they faced North Iowa and things went their way on Thursday too. The Northwood-Kensett Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-58 victory over the North Iowa Bison. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Bison are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Northwood-Kensett and bumps their season record up to 16-1. As for North Iowa, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Northwood-Kensett didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-61 loss against Newman Catholic on the 31st. North Iowa has also already played their next game (against Belmond-Klemme), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
