Football Recap: Lake Braddock Beats Forest Park for Their Third Straight Win + How To Watch

Lake Braddock extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Payton Holmes. Lake Braddock came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 28-22 W against Forest Park thanks in part to Holmes, who rushed for 121 yards and two TDs on only 14 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lake Braddock's defense and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jerard Pulliam and Christian Palma, who racked up four sacks between them. Palma is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Lake Braddock got some further help from Jack Podsednik: he picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Lake Braddock's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Forest Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Lake Braddock will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Forest Park, they will challenge Gainesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
