After a string of four wins, Ballinger's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 63-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roscoe Plowboys. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1109th, while the Plowboys are ranked 459th).

Ballinger's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Roscoe, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ballinger will host Colorado at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ballinger knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Colorado likes a good challenge. As for Roscoe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Miles at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
