Volleyball Recap: Smith-Cotton Tigers vs. Osage Indians

Smith-Cotton lost against Osage on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Indians. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Avery Case paced Smith-Cotton's offense, picking up nine kills. Case got some help from Grace Homan and her 14 assists. Alle Case controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Osage can attribute much of their success to Izzy Milligan, who had 12 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Milligan has posted over her last six matches. Addyson Klaus also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Smith-Cotton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-2. As for Osage, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2-2.

Smith-Cotton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Marshall on the 27th. As for Osage, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Cole Camp on the 27th.
