Volleyball Recap: Advanced Math & Science Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Advanced Math & Science Academy lost against Hopedale back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Blue Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Blue Raiders since November 8, 2017.

While Advanced Math & Science Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Hopedale work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 26-24, 25-10.

Adriann Murphy paced Advanced Math & Science Academy's offense, picking up four kills. Murphy got some help from Luanna Falcao and her nine assists. Murphy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Advanced Math & Science Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5. As for Hopedale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Advanced Math & Science Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against University Park at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Hopedale, they will head out on the road to face off against Milford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
