Otay Ranch has gone a perfect 10-0 against Mater Dei Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. This will be Otay Ranch's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Otay Ranch not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since August 21st (when they won 3-0). They blew past Olympian 3-0. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

While Otay Ranch won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Mater Dei Catholic hadn't done well against Eastlake recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Crusaders came out on top against the Titans by a score of 3-1.

Mater Dei Catholic had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-20, 25-18, 25-23.

Otay Ranch's record now sits at 18-9. As for Mater Dei Catholic, their record is now 20-9.

Otay Ranch came out on top in a nail-biter against Mater Dei Catholic in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
