Basketball Recap: Moore Haven Terriers vs. Okeechobee Brahmans
Moore Haven had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Okeechobee Brahmans 73-42. For the Terriers, this counts as revenge for the 55-50 victory the Brahmans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Moore Haven's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sa'Nyree Myers, who almost dropped a double-double on 32 points and nine steals. Myers' evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Preslynn Baker was another key player, dropping a triple-double on 23 points, 11 rebounds, and ten steals.
Moore Haven will take on Dunbar in a tournament on Thursday. As for Okeechobee, they will be taking part in a tournament against Jupiter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Okeechobee will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
