Softball Recap: Foothill Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

Foothill was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Mojave on Monday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Rattlers. Considering the Falcons have won seven matchups by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Foothill let Kameryn Morales and Camren VanThomme run wild. Morales got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while VanThomme went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Morales a new career-high. Jessica Cadena was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Foothill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are 7-1-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Foothill is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.9 runs over those games. As for Mojave, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
