Football Recap: West Comes Up Short at Home Against Robinson

West unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Robinson Rockets 35-7 on Friday. The Trojans were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Evan Moreno had a dynamite game For Robinson., rushing for 224 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards Moreno has posted since back in September of 2024. Robinson also got help from Dylan Medlock, who showed off his sure hands for 94 receiving yards.

West wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Trinity Christian on the 5th. As for Robinson, they have also already played their next game, a 55-14 victory against Caldwell on the 5th.
