Volleyball Recap: Unioto's Loss Ends 11-Game Winning Streak at Home

Unioto dropped to 13-3 on Thursday, ending the team's 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Adena Warriors by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Unioto's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Libby Anderson, who had 13 digs.

As for Adena, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since August 30th.

Kimmy Dalton went supernova, getting 22 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last seven times she's played.

Unioto and Adena should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Shermans (ranked 49th) will meet Paint Valley (ranked 609th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Adena will take on Zane Trace at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (10 vs. 100).
