Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Iowa Park). They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Bowie Jackrabbits on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past AJ Ramirez, who gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks to keep Bowie off the board. Ramirez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kane Decker, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braxton Vest, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Decker wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Iowa Park kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Iowa Park is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. Bowie is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.
