Basketball Recap: Immaculata-La Salle Takes a Loss

Immaculata-La Salle lost against Dade Christian back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions had to suffer through a 80-46 loss at the hands of the Dade Christian Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Royal Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 535th, while the Warriors are ranked 176th).

Dade Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kosta Raicevic, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Clorvens Celine, who posted 17 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Immaculata-La Salle has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Dade Christian, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Immaculata-La Salle will head out to square off against Downtown Doral at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Downtown Doral is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.6 points per game this season. As for Dade Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Miami Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dade Christian is facing Miami Springs at the right time seeing as Miami Springs is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
