Sean Smith Drops League-Best Effort on Friday
Starting off the list is Westlake's Sean Smith, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Smith threw for 123 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 68 yards on only six carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
Westlake's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Lions takes on Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Douglas County got the W thanks in part to Jacahi Streeter playing the best football he has all season. Streeter rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the year, Streeter has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 53.1 rushing yards per game.

On the year, Wimbush has averaged 6.5 total tackles per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging one total tackle per game.
