Baseball Recap: Ocean City Comes Up Short

Ocean City lost against Hammonton last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Raiders fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 7-6. Raiders fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Blue Devils since on Wednesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Ocean City and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Hammonton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ocean City will head out to square off against Absegami at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hammonton, they will challenge Cedar Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
