Baseball Recap: Van Alstyne Comes Up Short

Van Alstyne and Celina pushed the score to 15-4 the last time they played Celina, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Panthers fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-4 defeat on Tuesday.

Van Alstyne's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Celina, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-9-2.

Van Alstyne didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-1 defeat against Emerson on the 25th. As for Celina, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-1 victory against Lovejoy on the 25th.
