Baseball Recap: Moniteau Warriors vs. North Clarion Wolves
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Russell, Moniteau was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the North Clarion Wolves a 12-0 shutout. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Carson Minnear looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Moniteau got a massive performance out of Dawson Cook, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs Cook has posted since back in May of 2024. Derrik Creedon-Moyer was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Moniteau hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Clarion struck out eight times.
