Volleyball Recap: Valley Christian Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Valley Christian had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Valley Christian was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15, 25-15.

Valley Christian can attribute much of their success to Travis Christy, who had 14 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Christy has posted over his last six matches.

Valley Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive games.

Valley Christian's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Valley Christian and Horizon Honors will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on the 9th. Leading Edge Academy - GEC does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
