Baseball Recap: Forest Hills Northern Has No Trouble Against East Kentwood

Forest Hills Northern won the last time they faced East Kentwood and things went their way on Friday too. The Huskies put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 11-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

Sam Garrett looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Forest Hills Northern let Devin Tiedgen and Daniel Conrad run wild. Tiedgen went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Conrad went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Tiedgen has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Cas Anderson, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Forest Hills Northern hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Kentwood struck out 14 times.

Forest Hills Northern's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for East Kentwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Forest Hills Northern will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair will be back at it again later today.
