Soccer Game Preview: Legion Collegiate Academy vs. Blythewood

The Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers will challenge the Blythewood Bengals at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Blythewood will be up against a hot Legion Collegiate Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. The Lancers' defense stepped up to hand Mountain View Prep an 8-0 shutout last Thursday.

Meanwhile, Blythewood entered their tilt with Lugoff-Elgin on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 5-0 win. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Blythewood's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Lugoff-Elgin are ranked 135th).

Blythewood's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those three matchups. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
