Baseball Recap: Boston Collegiate Beats Salem Academy Charter for Their Third Straight Victory

Boston Collegiate waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Salem Academy Charter Navigator by a score of 7-2. This was a revenge game for the Hurricanes: when they faced off against the Navigator two weeks ago, they had to take a 5-4 loss.

Joe DiBlasi made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. DiBlasi was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ryan Alexander was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Jonathan Calisi was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Boston Collegiate was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Salem Academy Charter only posted a batting average of .095.

Boston Collegiate's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Salem Academy Charter, they moved to 6-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Boston Collegiate will head out on the road to take on South Boston at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hurricanes are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Salem Academy Charter, they will welcome Lynn Vo-Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
