Soccer Game Preview: Southside vs. Southwest

Southside is 0-10 against Southwest since February of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cardinals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dragons at 6:30 p.m. Southside's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Southside didn't have quite enough to beat McCollum and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Southwest entered their tilt with Jay on Friday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 4-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Southwest's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Jay are ranked 271st).

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Southwest, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1-1.
