Volleyball Recap: Mesa Verde Comes Up Short

Mesa Verde was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Lindhurst Blazers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mavericks of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Mesa Verde took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-22, 25-23.

Mesa Verde's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Lindhurst, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mesa Verde will challenge rival Rio Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lindhurst is set to take on their familiar foe San Juan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
