Softball Game Preview: Refugio Bobcats vs. Port Aransas Marlins

The Refugio Bobcats will take on the Port Aransas Marlins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Port Aransas took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Refugio, who comes in off a win.

Refugio is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-9 margin over Kenedy last Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bobcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Port Aransas fell victim to Agua Dulce and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Longhorns, falling 24-0. The Marlins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Refugio's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Port Aransas, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Everything went Refugio's way against Port Aransas in their previous meeting on March 1st, as Refugio made off with a 13-5 win. Does Refugio have another victory up their sleeve, or will Port Aransas turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
