Basketball Recap: South Callaway Comes Up Short

After flying high against New Bloomfield last Tuesday, South Callaway came back down to earth. The South Callaway Bulldogs took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Russellville Indians. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

South Callaway dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Russellville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

South Callaway didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-51 victory against North Callaway on the 18th. Russellville has also already played their next contest, a 64-46 loss against Hermann on the 18th.
