South Plainfield won the last time they faced Edison and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tigers walked away with a 9-4 win over the Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
Chris Loniewski and Lorenzo Fuscoletti did most of the damage at the plate: Loniewski scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Fuscoletti scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Irizarry, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
South Plainfield's record now sits at 2-0. As for Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

As for Edison, they will head out to challenge Old Bridge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
