Gibbs extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Heritage. They won by a run and slipped past the Mountaineers 3-2. The Eagles are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 16 straight.

Shelby Williams was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one triple, and two RBI. Malyiah Smith was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Gibbs pushed their record up to 39-3 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Heritage, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 28-9 record.

Coincidentally, Gibbs and Heritage will both be playing Creek Wood the next time they take the field. The Mountaineers will head out to face the Red Hawks at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
