Basketball Recap: East St. John Comes Up Short

East St. John was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 66-46 to the Hahnville Tigers. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 68-64 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

East St. John's loss dropped their record down to 19-25. As for Hahnville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-21.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East St. John will take on Ascension Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ascension Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Hahnville, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers face off against the Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Destrehan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
