Eads extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Anna Wollert. The Eagles enjoyed a cozy 59-43 win over the Idalia Wolves on Saturday with plenty of help from Wollert, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 17 rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ailyn Monarrez-Estrada, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. That was a full 34.9% of Idalia's points, marking the third time in a row Monarrez-Estrada has posted more than a third of the team's points. Evelyn Cruz was another key player, going 5-for-12 on her way to 10 points.

Eads' victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Idalia, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5.

Eads and Idalia should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Eagles (ranked 29th) will meet Genoa-Hugo/Karval (ranked 155th) at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Idalia will square off against Otis at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (88 vs. 234).
