Basketball Recap: King's Christian Academy Comes Up Short

King's Christian Academy lost against Washington back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles had to suffer through an 82-46 loss at the hands of the Patriots. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

King's Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cayden Williams, who went 9-for-21 en route to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Russell Slade, who posted ten points and five boards.

Washington was led to victory by Kris Doleman and Jasiah King. Doleman shot 67% from the field to rack up 19 points and six assists, while King went 6-for-7 on his way to 16 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. King's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Alex Danner was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

King's Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

King's Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-50 win against Jefferson on the 13th. As for Washington, they have also already played their next contest, a 91-33 victory against Preston on the 13th.
