Delano Reid of Eastridge ran for the longest rushing play in Section 5 Monroe Division III this season against Canandaigua Academy last week. Reid's team bested the Braves as he sprinted for 85 yards on the play and finished with 70 in all.

Eastridge suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 48-35 loss to Eastridge. Chad Green's team had been ranked 25th, but fell to 28 following the defeat.

Alec Mortillaro and Jeremiah Ortiz gave the Lancers a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Mortillaro threw for 80 yards and three touchdowns, while Ortiz ran for 165 yards. Teammate Mortillaro added to the ground attack by rushing for 164 yards.

Zachery Brimacomb was the best wideout in the league this week as Irondequoit fell to Brighton. Brimacomb tallied two receptions for 48 yards. Cameron Shafer helped Irondequoit's passing attack out by catching one ball for 17 yards.

5-foot-10 quarterback Alex Shoemaker of the Eagles is the league leader in passing yards this season with 369. He has also thrown two touchdowns. On the ground, Eastridge's Mortillaro has rushed for 655 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Cash Bleier. The Victor star has nine catches for 142 yards.

The top two teams in Section 5 Monroe Division III will face off this week when first place Victor takes on second place Eastridge. Victor defeated Honeoye Falls-Lima last week, while the Lancers bested Canandaigua Academy.

There should be lots of points scored when Eastridge and the Blue Devils face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Lancers comes in having scored 177 this season, while Victor has scored 104. Eastridge scored 48 points last week as it topped the Braves.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Lancers take on the Blue Devils. Eastridge has allowed 71 points this season, while Victor has given up 63. The Lancers allowed 35 points last week as they defeated Canandaigua Academy.

The Blue Devils extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Cougars, 48-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for Victor.
