Baseball Recap: East St. Louis Comes Up Short

East St. Louis was the 17-3 winner over East Alton-Wood River when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. East St. Louis came up short against East Alton-Wood River on Wednesday, falling 14-1.

East St. Louis' loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for East Alton-Wood River, their record is now 3-4.

Looking ahead, East St. Louis will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Cardinal Ritter College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Alton-Wood River, they will challenge Bunker Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
