Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Academy Skates Past Excel Academy of Englewood with Ease

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Unity Christian Academy had no problem doing just that on Monday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 91-33 victory over the Excel Academy of Englewood Bulls. The Phoenix have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Unity Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mason (Josh) O'Neal, who went 10-for-19 on his way to 23 points and five steals. O'Neal's big performance that morning made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan O'Neil Jr, who shot 89% from the field to rack up 15 points and eight assists.

Unity Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Excel Academy of Englewood, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Unity Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 85-36 victory against Ellison on the 26th. Excel Academy of Englewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
