Football Recap: New Hampstead Takes a Loss + How To Watch

New Hampstead lost against Savannah Christian back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Phoenix lost to the Raiders on the road by a 28-12 margin. The Phoenix were down 21-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

When it comes to explaining why New Hampstead lost, don't look at Christian Kinlaw. Despite the final result, he rushed for 125 yards while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Kinlaw was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards.

Among those leading the charge was Blaise Thomas, who threw for 150 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight passes, and also rushed for 63 yards and one TD. Those 150 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Wesley Dinkins, who rushed for 160 yards and one score.

New Hampstead's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Savannah Christian, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
