Softball Game Preview: Ransom Everglades Raiders vs. Miami Country Day Spartans

The Ransom Everglades Raiders will head out to challenge the Miami Country Day Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Ransom Everglades had taken Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. Ransom Everglades lost 24-4 to Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart.

Ransom Everglades saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clara Sanchez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Miami Country Day and Immaculata-La Salle, and Miami Country Day kept the tradition alive. Everything went Miami Country Day's way against Immaculata-La Salle on Wednesday as Miami Country Day made off with an 8-2 victory.

Collins Ames spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 20 Ks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts.

Miami Country Day's record is now 2-0. As for Ransom Everglades, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Ransom Everglades might still be hurting after the 16-0 loss they got from Miami Country Day in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Ransom Everglades avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
