Cranberry Area was the 3-0 winner over Allegheny-Clarion Valley when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Berries fell 3-1 to the Falcons on Tuesday. The Berries' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Cranberry Area ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 18-25, 25-23, 25-20.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madalyn Dehart led the charge by getting ten kills, eight blocks, and two aces. Dehart is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Gianna Louise, who had 15 digs and three aces.

Cranberry Area's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Allegheny-Clarion Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

Cranberry Area didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Cambridge Springs on the 1st. As for Allegheny-Clarion Valley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Clarion-Limestone on the 2nd.
