League recap: York Catholic's Krevetski delivers best pitching performance from past week

York Area 2 4's top pitcher this week was York Catholic's Jake Krevetski. He won one game and struck out nine batters.

Delone Catholic currently leads the league with a 7-4 record overall and a 5-1 mark during league play. Hanover sits 1 game back in second, with a 5-3 record in league play.

The Fighting Irish boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

York Catholic's Doug Mills was locked in this week, and led the league with a 1.000 average (3-for-3) over that span. For the season, he's hitting .500, good for second in the league. Mills has ten hits total this season.

The week's strikeout crown belonged to Krevetski, who turned in nine Ks for the Fighting Irish. With 38 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks second in the league.



Krevetski led York Catholic to a win on May 20, as he notched nine strikeouts to beat Mount Calvary Christian, 17-2. He gave up three hits and two runs over four innings of work.
