Granite City's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Metro-East Lutheran Knights as the Granite City Warriors made off with a 38-12 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Warriors have posted since December 3, 2024.

Despite the loss, Metro-East Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Isabelle McLeod, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and three steals. McLeod is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Granite City moved to 7-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Metro-East Lutheran, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Granite City won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Marquette Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Gibault Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
