Volleyball Recap: Marlo Scherr's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dawson School over Golden View Classical Academy + How To Watch

Dawson School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden View Classical Academy Sentinels. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sentinels apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Dawson School ultimately came up short, they really made Golden View Classical Academy work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 15-25, 26-24.

Dawson School lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Marlo Scherr, who had nine digs and two aces. She also posted an assist, marking her first of the season.

Dawson School's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Golden View Classical Academy, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Dawson School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Gilpin County on the 6th. As for Golden View Classical Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Heritage Christian on the 4th.
