Volleyball Recap: Blessed Trinity Has No Trouble Against Cambridge

Blessed Trinity had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Cambridge on Thursday. The Titans put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 3-0 win. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Blessed Trinity took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-5, 25-13.

Ruby McDermott was nothing short of spectacular: she had 14 digs and three aces. What's more, she racked up six assists, the most she's had over her last five games. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Woodward, who had nine assists and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Blessed Trinity was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive contests.

Blessed Trinity's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Cambridge, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

After both having extra time off, Blessed Trinity and Kell will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cambridge, they will take on North Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
