Basketball Recap: Perry Central Takes a Loss

Perry Central lost against West Marion last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Perry Central Bulldogs fell 69-62 to the West Marion Trojans. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Perry Central lost, don't look at Austin Jones. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 34 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 54.8% of Perry Central's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Trace Hinton was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Perry Central's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for West Marion, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-14.

Perry Central will welcome Tylertown at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
