Softball Game Preview: Donna North Chiefs vs. Porter Cowboys

The Donna North Chiefs will face off against the Porter Cowboys at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Donna North has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 15.

Donna North came up short against Donna on Friday, falling 22-10. Even if the Chiefs couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Cristina Ramirez and Melissa Davila did some serious damage despite the final result: Ramirez got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Davila scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave Davila a new career-high. Another player making a difference was America Macias, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Porter was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of Mercedes by a score of 4-2.

Donna North's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Porter, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
