Basketball Recap: Kierston Rozell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Meadow Bridge over Sherman

Meadow Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Sherman Tide, falling 50-27. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-36 back in January.

Meadow Bridge lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kierston Rozell, who posted 17 points. Rozell's afternoon made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

Meadow Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Sherman, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meadow Bridge will host Mount View at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sherman will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. on February 19th.
