Basketball Recap: University Trailblazers vs. Evansville North Huskies
University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the Evansville North Huskies. While losing is never fun, the Trailblazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Huskies are ranked 111th).

Max McComb and Faisal Mohamud certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. McComb went 8 for 13 on his way to 18 points in addition to six steals and five assists, while Mohamud went 8 for 15 on his way to 19 points. The dominant performance gave McComb a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Gray, who posted seven points.
Bryson Chapman was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten boards for Evansville North. Chapman continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Sena Gore was another key player, putting up 12 points.
University's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Evansville North, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.
University wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 60-48 loss against Indianapolis Metropolitan on the 28th. As for Evansville North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-47 defeat against Lebanon on the 28th.
