Basketball Game Preview: Elkhorn Elks vs. Burlington Demons

The Elkhorn Elks are taking a road trip to take on the Burlington Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elkhorn is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Elkhorn came up into this matchup off a tough 24-point loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Beloit Memorial by a score of 71-68 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Burlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost to Union Grove at home by a 54-38 margin. While losing is never fun, the Demons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Broncos are ranked 20th).

Elkhorn's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Burlington, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Elkhorn came up short against Burlington in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 47-37. Can Elkhorn avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
